As a Sr. Reporting Analyst, you'll be responsible for maintaining and developing Special Investigations Unit's (SIU's) regulatory reporting and.net applications development. Identifying opportunities for enhancements for proper reporting of potential fraud, waste and/or abuse and working with UHC SIU Leadership to ensure the highest level of compliance. You'll be fully invested in the outcomes and will be helping the health system work better for everyone with the support and resources of a Fortune 5 industry leader.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform medium to highly complex analytical investigations to prevent, detect, and correct fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA)
  • Identify and analyze fraudulent or suspicious activities involving members, providers, employees, and external parties using advanced data and application-based solutions
  • Apply full-stack development expertise to design, using ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and Bootstrap to develop responsive user interfaces and robust backend services
  • Demonstrate continuous willingness to learn, adapt to, and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and analytical techniques to improve investigative efficiency and insight
  • Develop and execute the most effective analytical strategy for each investigation based on risk, complexity, regulatory requirements, and available technologies
  • Conduct development and analytical activities in alignment with Application, Development, and Reporting core principles and established software development best practices
  • Build and maintain complex analytical queries using SQL, SAS, Snowflake, and Azure cloud services to identify potential FWA risks
  • Enhance and maintain SQL stored procedures, functions, and views to improve performance, scalability, and data accuracy
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards and web-based analytical interfaces that support investigative analysis and operational reporting
  • Create and maintain Alteryx workflows to automate and optimize data preparation and analytics processes
  • Stay current on emerging full-stack technologies, cloud services, API standards, and analytics platforms relevant to fraud detection and prevention
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, contractual obligations, security standards, and internal policies
  • Adhere to organizational goals, policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives as directed by SIU leadership
  • Collaborate with state and federal partners as appropriate, including participation in workgroups, audits, and regulatory meetings at the direction of SIU leadership

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of data manipulation via SQL/SAS tools
  • 5+ years ASP.NET Core, WebAPIs, Javascript, HTML, Bootstrap Web Development
  • 3+ years of Azure Cloud Implementation
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in health care fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) investigations
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in state and federal regulatory FWA requirements
  • General knowledge of Tableau development
  • General knowledge of Compliance Program policies, procedures and documentation standards
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, to include written and verbal forms of communication
  • Demonstrated ability to develop goals and objectives, track progress, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in Snowflake integration
  • Working knowledge of Alteryx development

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
